which goes against what Baggs reported in his latest blog entry.
I suppose Sabean and Bochy coming back isn't the end of the world, but I would like to see a new approach from them both. I don't want to see any more overpaid vets, but rather some gambles on yet-to-produce talent. That's where a good GM should shine. Though, I do think Sabean made some great moves last offseason (Uribe, Affeldt, Medders, Miller), and Penny was an awesome pick up.
You know, Howry was only bad because of how Bochy used him. If he's just your bullpen innings-eater, fine. But as a go-to guy in tight spots? He's not that guy.
Bochy has also been a good clubhouse manager, as far as I've read. It's his in-game management of his club that needs to change. Maybe now with a better feel for some of his guys -- and without as many overpaid veterans on his roster -- he can start to manage games a little better.

The only thing positive I saw in that article is the increased payroll possibility
