Cain's breakthrough, Sanchez's realization of his potential, Zito's renaissance, Velez's maturation as a player all surprise me more than Pablo's year. That's not to say I don't appreciate his year because it's even better than we could have expected of a guy in his first big league season, but I think we knew he was something special when he came up last season.
I think Sanchez, Cain, Wilson, and Pablo will only continue to get better. Finally, an inspiring year!
Oh, and I also value Timmy's season as it proves the freak is no fluke.
