but you just can't afford to pay him $4M to be a sub when you have Renteria making $9M, and you still have to find bats for 1B/3B and LF. I would rather see Frandsen or Rohlinger as the sub, making the minimum, if it meant a better bat in the starting lineup.
I'd also love to see Penny back again, but it's the same as Uribe. Additional money to him takes money away from the more pressing need for bats.
At catcher, Yorvit would be great, but there's no way he signs a 2yr deal to play here when Posey's almost ready to go. He has always wanted to be the starter and is also not signing for 1 year. Kendall, Pudge and Ausmus are the three most likely candidates.
