It we were arguing between Uribe for that term and amount and Atkins for the same... I would lean toward Uribe.

His ability to play the middle infield positions would be more valuable than Atkins.

Then, I would like an OFer that can also fill in at 1st.

Atkins at the price would be cool, and I wouldn't mind betting that he could put up a 290/330/450 line. But, if we are not able to find full time guys, I would lean more toward guys that have more versatility. Atkins is not a great defender at 3rd, he would be solid first baseman.

If at the end of the day Atkins is the best we could do, it would be okay. But there are probably other guys out there for that money that might help more.
