Whether it's Dye, Nady, or LaRoche along with DeRosa and Sanchez, it'll solidify the lineup. You're also correct that DeRosa will replace Bengie's production but will offer more versatility in which Bochy can make moves.
However, the keys of the season may be:
- whether Pablo can repeat last season's production.
- if Posey can provide similar production while in the minors at the major league level?
- which young players will step up as an everyday player this season? Bowker? Schierholtz? Ishikawa? Velez? This could be their last chance for some of them.
I like the idea of adding Calero to bolster the bullpen especially with Zito and Sanchez struggling past 6 innings. I'd like to see Bumgarner to get his shot at the #5 spot. If not him, Pucetas should get a look.
