Don't know if they would put up the same #'s as someone like DeRosa if given a chance.I know that Sabean and Bochy have reps about preferring vets which made it more surprising to me that they stayed with Ishikawa so long. I would hope that they are playing the best players that give them a chance to win regardless of experience..

I have no problem with the direction of signing veterans for short term contract, because none of them are blocking a rising young player except for arguebly Molina(Posey).
