I just think that people tend to overestimate how many runs that is worth, while underestimating how many runs Molina's low OBP and slow baserunning cost the team. Surely you don't think having Posey out there instead of Molina is going to change Lincecum from a excellent to just good pitcher, right? How many runs do you think Molina relationship with the pitchers is worth? Can you give me an example of a staff that has suffered due to a catcher not being fully seasoned at calling games?
