He was supposingly throwing mid 90's before he was brought up to the show. He flashed a few pitches in the low 90's, but consistently was in the 88-90 range. Don't know why...
Barry Zito is a guy that nobody remembers throwing 92-95 in his 1st season with the A's. Rookie year he was popping 93 mph consistently. Then over the next two seasons, he dropped to the high 80's range and eventually mid 80's. Just strange.
