Fielder would be a nice add, but not in trade for both a legit #3 starter who has finally found some relative consistency and our best prospect (IMHO) in Belt.

It would be so easy to envision Fielder having 1 or 2 great years, and then regressing like a stone and becoming our latest contract albatross at just about the same time that Sanchez completely finds his groove, and Belt becomes the next John Olerud with much better pop.

No thanks. That's the kind of trade that bad franchises make. If Fielder weighed 220? Sure, bring it on. That's a legit conversation we'd be talking about.
