will never happen, but...

we all know that teams put a ton of guys through waivers to try and clear them for a possible trade. What if Sabes puts Zito through waivers and another team claims him? Do you give him up to get out from under the remaining ~ 3/$60mm on his contract while putting the a big hole at the top of your rotation?

What if it's an NL West team or wildcard competitor who claims him?
