I think there's a chance, but considering how little action he's likely to see, I can't see how it's a big help. He'd have to come in as a pinch hitter and jack a homerun in her first at bat and then follow that with a double. Anything short of a Posey-like hot streak and it's hard to imagine him sniffing much time.
Everyone is excited about this kid, and he even got a mention from Jon Miller the day they had his hall-of-fame ceremony, but like you say, it's Bochy we're talking about here. Does he take Pat the Bat's time in left field now that he's hitting .290? No chance. Huff at 1B? No way. Nothing short of an injury or a 2 for 45 from a regular would get him any playing time.
If only Belt were a shortstop....
