This is mid rotation SP worthy, not ace type production. Especially in the NL. He's sustained a well below avg BABIP during that time. Obviously benefits from the help of a favorable home ballpark. In any contract situation, the giants will be overpaying for his true abilities. Using Cain as that trade bait for find an ideal sidekick hitter to pair with posey should be considered.
