from the start of the yr.

They are going to face some tough decisions this Winter with:

Burrell- whom I'd bet would like to re-sign with SF, and whether he's got any more 25hr, 80rbi type seasons left in him..

Ross- whether to keep him or package him w/ a pitcher to get an impact bat and if that's even possible..

Guillen- whether he's got enough left in his legs to patrol the OF or if he's just a DH at this point.. (unlikeliest candidate to return)

Huff- who may get several offers, the toughest part may be how much they'll have to offer him and for how long, but he may also prefer to stay in SF particularly if Burrell & Ross return (two of his buds)..

Uribe- he has regressed quite a bit in the 2nd half and this is a position that the G's could certainly benefit from getting more athletic, problem is that they will probably have to trade for someone to fill that need.. no significant upgrades next yr on the FA market either..

Rowand- how will he accept a super ultility role in the OF & his role as a 5th OF'er, will he become a distraction (seems to be team first but he's been the everyday CF'er for most of his career but next yr, that won't be the case..)

DeRosa- will he even contribute anything after missing an entire season and will his wrist ever be 100% again? Can you keep both Fontenot & DeRosa

Will there be room for both Neal & Belt next yr on a team that will certainly be geared to win now. Will Belt & Neal simply replace Ishi and Holtz?

With all these players here now & more on their way up in SEPT, will the G's even pursue a young, difference maker and will it even be necessary with this upgraded roster?.. Will that young, difference make emerge amongst the SEPT callups--I certainly hope so!

A few of these answers will reveal themselves or at least become more apparent by the end of September--will definitely be fun to watch!!
