DeRosa as a super ulitity guy can play LF, 3B, 2B, 1B and pinch hitter-- and is more likely to stay healthy for the entire season. DeRosa will be 35 next yr, coming off missing an entire yr, been injured 1.5 yrs and coming off a not so good '09.. DeRosa is not a starter at this stage of his career..

Regardless, as a SU guy, he'll still get 400+ ab's w/ how much Bochy likes rotating his players, RH/LH matchups and will need to give plenty of rest to Burrell, Huff,(assuming they're back) and Franchez.. DeRosa is far more valuable off the bench.. IMHO.....
